The Japan Professional Mahjong League (JPML) 「日本プロ麻雀連盟」 (Nihon puro maajan renmei) is a professional organization of competitive mahjong players. The current president of the JPML is Shigekazu Moriyama. The JPML has 10 offices across Japan.

League

Annually, the JPML hosts league games. Participants are separated into different ladders denoted as: A through E. Group A is the highest while E is the lowest. Each letter grouping is subdivided. For example, group A is split as A1 and A2. The title match is dubbed as the Houousen.
