• #mahjong@irc.rizon.net — original channel, now almost entirely off-topic
• #osamuko@irc.rizon.net — "new" mahjong-focused channel

There are many active (and inactive) groups around the globe. An outdated list can be found at Offline groups, but you can help make it up to date.

Players seeking to form a new group

If you are looking for players in your area, but no such group seems to exist, you can leave a note at Talk:Offline groups.
