+The tournament uses a 256-mahjong bracket.  Initially, all players are grouped into 8 brackets: A through H.  From each bracket, the top 2 from each stage move on to the next.  Furthermore, a percentage of a players points move on to the next stage.  Moving to the next stage, a player's starting points is adjusted based on the carry over from the previous round.  Every round begins with 25,000.  Therefore, the points carried over are based on points won in the round.
