So EMA says (and how we play at LiRMA is) that the prevailing wind marker is placed at the dealer's right hand side in east 1, and stays there throughout the game. It is there to show who was first dealer, so we know when we are to switch to south (i.e. when the dealer once again gets to the position with the wind marker). - Fault regarding price of autotables, ¥2000, or roughly $2000 .... am currently too lazy to edit/check prices

Prevailing wind marker versus dealer position

This dealer marker is an east-south prevailing-wind marker used in games to indicate the round and the current dealer.
EMA 2012 rules: (from section 2.2 Prevailing wind)
