Targeting is the act of deliberately aiming at a particular player for points. This entails the need to win by ron off of the particular player. Usually, players take points for winning hands at soon as possible. However, the points may dictate the need for a player to simply win off of particular players. Here, the point difference indicates it; and it would be fruitless to win off other players, whose margin does not cover the point difference.
