I've played mahjong since 7th September 2014 and it has consumed my life. I don't know how to bail from hands, this has hurt me a lot.
The first site that I ever went to was a Wiki like website. Oops.
Mahjong is the second biggest roller coaster of my life, next to my own feelings.
Third person is a pain, I might write in it later if I feel like giving information. Otherwise, might as well ask me personally for personal information, you might get it. Let's see...
Tenhou
Been only using the one ID, Hanasawa. Currently at 初段 after falling from it and rising back up again. Started a tenhou account at 7th September 2014 merely to just play with friends only, eventually I fell down the rabbit hole of playing ranked match, getting addicted to mahjong and now playing it almost every day as my life crumbles around me.
All games before 17th March 2015 is completely lost in the void of Tenhou. Though, a compilation of stats could possibly fill in what I was feeling, but not the yakumans, sanbaimans and other wacky hands that I got on my way here... They'll always be lost and slowly forgotten...
Summary of rankings
- 7th September 2014 - Joined Tenhou after watching some Saki and my group at the time was interested in riichi mahjong too.
- 23th September 2014 - Fell down the rabbit hole and started to play ranked. Came first by a mile and got to ９級.
- 6th October 2014 - Slipped and slid to get my way to ８級.
- 8th October 2014 - Didn't take as long to get to ７級, thank god.
- 30th October 2014 - I seriously don't know why I took that long to get ６級.
- 4th November 2014 - Or this long in general... Anyway, ５級.
- 5th November 2014 - ４級. :P
- 24th November 2014 - ３級 took around as long as the other ranks before.
- 29th January 2015 - ２級...seriously? I played a lot of sanma with friends in between so I guess it made sense kinda?
- 30th January 2015 - Something definitely happened in between November to January cause I wouldn't get １級 this fast D:
- 24th February 2015 - After a heavy string of losses in １級, I decided to play ranked sanma for the very first time since the only times were when I was playing with friends.
- 26th March 2015 - After a gruesome amount of failures and grinding to get １級 in sanma (which is way shorter than the four player grind to １級), I finally managed to get 初段 for the very first time.
- 3rd May 2015 - Before playing stupidly and getting kicked down back to １級
- 3rd June 2015 - Picked back up 初段 after trying to play more defensively. Let's hope I don't ever drop again
Replays that I'll categorize later
- Haitei Baiman - After the misclick in turn 9 when I was meant to discard the 5 sou, and seeing myself having to discard an ankou of 8 sou that, I essentially did not want to win this hand because of how bad I messed up but I did... Uuu...
- Zentsuppa Rinshan Kaihou - I don't remember ever doing a rinshan kaihou in 4 player mahjong but I did feel like Saki for doing it, especially when it's not a big hand~
- Daburi Ippatsu Sanshoku Chanta (Picture only) - Really wish I had saved the replay of this. I still lost in the end however, this was not a comeback sadly.
- Riichi Ippatsu Haitei Baiman (Not tenhou) - This still counts for your challenge though, right Kyuu?
Tabletop Simulator
Playing TTS since 24th April 2015, played my first of many games on the 6th May 2015 and ever since then. I've saved a couple screenshots of games I've played but yeah. I'll link screenshots when I have enough of them and maybe upload a video later on when I get the time.
Real Life Mahjong
Oh boy, I've only played a couple of hanchans with friends, it was 3 players but not with sanma rules, just normal tiles with 4 akadora. I managed to get a Kokushi once with an 1 pin ron though. That was cool. (Please make a club in Australia someone.)
