Yakitori markers.

Yakitori 「焼き鳥」 refers to a player that has won no hands throughout the entire match. It is next to impossible to reach 1st place with yakitori, though it is technically possible with tenpai payments.

In some gambling rulesets, players in yakitori are punished with a point/cash penalty. Sometimes, specialized "yakitori markers" are used as indicators: when a player wins, the marker is flipped over. Players with an unflipped marker have to pay the penalty.
