Nobetan 「ノベタン」, or nobetanki 「延べ単騎」, is a tile wait pattern that uses two separate tanki waits. With this pattern, the tenpai hand is looking to pair either one of two tiles for completion.

Kanji ノベタン
English Double pair
Fu 2 fu
Tile types waiting 2 sided wait
Tiles available 6 tiles

Pattern

              Waiting for:

The pattern is noticeable as four consecutive numbered tiles. When completed, the above example functions as follows:

Win with   then it'd look like:
Win with   then it'd look like:

Fu

The pattern generates 2 fu for the hand. Either tile type produces the pair; and thus, it counts for the waiting pattern of tanki.
