Ryanhan shibari 「二飜縛り」 ("two han limit") is a rule which requires hands to have a minimum of 2 han from yaku in order to win. Dora do not count towards the requirement.
In many rules, ryanhan shibari is only applied after the 5th honba, and only to the dealer. This makes it harder to accumulate renchan, which is particularly important in rulesets with paarenchan. A few rules instead require 2 han at all times for all players.
