Ryanhan shibari 「二飜縛り」 (lit. "two han limit") is a rule which requires hands to have a minimum of 2 han from yaku in order to win.

In many rules, ryanhan shibari is only applied after the 5th honba, and only to the dealer. This makes it harder to accumulate renchan, especially in rulesets with paarenchan. A few rules instead require 2 han at all times for all players.
