=== Team member rule ===
For failing to qualify into the final in the previous season, the U-NEXT Pirates were required to release at least one team member. Both Koushin Asakura and Nobuhiro Ishibashi were released. Released members

For failing to qualify into the final in the previous season, the U-NEXT Pirates were required to release at least one team member. Both Koushin Asakura and Nobuhiro Ishibashi were released. For KADOKAWA Sakura Knights, the status for Makoto Sawazaki took a long time to decide due to his hospitalization, which kept him out of the team final. A decision was made to release Sawazaki for health reasons.

Overseas region lock

For a period of two months starting on October 13, overseas viewers were denied live viewing due to a region lock.[2] The league used copyrighted music, which prevented overseas broadcasting. In the interim, Abema provided VoD within a 24 hour period from a live cast for sections without the copyrighted music. Eventually, the situation was rectified, and live overseas broadcasting resumed on December 12.[3]
