3P-Mahjong

3P-Mahjong (Sanma) is a variation based on regular mahjong, allowing only 3 players to start a match. Currently this mode is under testing and only available in Friendly Rooms.

The rule set of Majsoul Sanma is basically referred to Tenhou. Most of the rules are identical to Tenhou Sanma, however, instead of losing the income from North seat when winning by Tsumo (Tsumo-loss), the payment from North seat is divided equally to another two seats, which is similar to Sega MJ.

The calculation on Tsumo is finished by the following steps:

  1. Calculate the scoring points based on 4P-Mahjong.
  2. Equally divide North seat's income (round up).
  3. Append the half North income to other seats.

E.g. A non-dealer wins with a hand of 40Fu 3Han.

  1. Based on 4P-Mahjong, dealer should pay 2600, while non-dealer 1300.
  2. North pays 1300, half of the payment is 650 -> round up to 700.
  3. Dealer actually pays 2600 + 700 = 3300, while non-dealer 1300 + 700 = 2000.
