Tile pattern

Formation

Of all the standard yaku, sankantsu is the most difficult. Its rate of occurrence rivals that of some yakuman.

Value

This yaku is set at 2 han. However, the number of kans significantly increases the hand's value. Generally, a fu count of 60 or more is the equivalent of increasing the han count by 1, in terms of scoring.
